As part of the World No Tobacco Day awareness initiative, the Mylapore unit of Brahma Kumaris held an awareness rally on Kamarajar Salai, off the Marina on May 31.
The event was flagged off by P. Venkataramanan, Mylapore MLA and state minister.
P. Thana Selvan, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Mylapore and renowned singer Dr. Sirkazhi G. Sivachidambaram graced the occasion.
Through placards, messages, and public outreach activities, the programme aimed to educate society about the dangers of tobacco consumption.
