Over 100 people participated in the maha Kumbabishekam of Sri Mundagakanni Amman Temple at Kapali Thottam, Mylapore, on June 17.
The day began with mangala vaadhyam at around 3.30 a.m, followed by a procession of the sacred pots around the temple premises. The Kumbabishekam was later performed in the presence of devotees.
The temple was decorated for the occasion and prasadham was distributed.
