Do you wish to learn Sanskrit formally and earn a recocgnised certificate?
Then you may sign up for the Prathama Dīkṣā promoted by Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi and hosted by Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College, Mylapore.
The course is set to be launched in early September and admissions are open now. Anybody above the age of 15 can enrol; this includes senior citizens keen to learn Sanskrit the formal way.
CSU has recognised Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College, Mylapore, as a Center for Sanskrit Learning.
This is a 120-hour comprehensive and well prepared certificate programme and classes will be held at the college campus on weekends. Not online. The course promoters say the final exam will be held inMay 2027.
The study materials are prepared by renowned scholars. The programme is supported by a dedicated faculty.
Vivekananda College has a Sanskrit department where courses at under-grad, post-grad and Ph D levels are offered. A small number of students attended these courses.
The fee for the course is Rs.1500.
