R. Rajalakshmi, 79 years old and a Mylapore resident since 1968 passed away on August 18.
A senior Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha pracharak since the 1980s, she was fondly called ‘Hindi teacher’ by her students and even her friends.
She taught students who studied Hindi in school and people who attended the Prathamik- to-Praveen Hindi courses. She did this for over 40 years.
She leaves behind by her husband K. S. Ramamurthy, sons Sri Ganesh and Ramesh Karur and their families.
