A small group of people met the Mylapore MLA, P. Venkataramanan in his office in Alwarpet last weekend to discuss issues related to Nageswara Rao Park in Luz where ‘redesign’ work has been terribly delayed.
They raised a few key issues – that concretisation of the park must stop, that greening of the park be made a priority and that the work on the park be completed as soon as possible.
These issues were also listed in a petition and this was handed over to the MLA.
Earlier, this group had staged a ‘silent’ protest in the park.
