Thieves are said to have ripped the air-conditioners fitted outside the Indian Overseas Bank on Luz Church Road of copper strips and made away with them recently late at night.
No attempt was made to gain entry into the bank premises.
In late June, thieves ripped off the air-conditioner at the rear of Penguin Xerox shop on Kutchery Road, gained entry and made off with about Rs.10,000, according to the owner of this shop.
Mylapore police are investigating both thefts.
