Staff of the fire-affected State Bank of India branch on Luz Church Road have been quick to address the fallout of the development in which the ground floor was consumed by fire on the weekend.
A few staff have been manning desks set up under shamianas set up outside the Luz Church Road to address the queries of customers who came by.
A mobile ATM is parked here since the ATMs attached to the branch are not operational.
Customers are also advised to use the services at SBI branches in Kutchery Rd and in Mandaveli: where staff from Luz Church Road are now assigned.
We are told the fire-affected premises will be made ready by Vinayaka Chathurthi day. We are also told that there has been almost nil damage of the first floor.
