Student leaders had a hand in the Teacher’s Day celebration at St Antony’s Girls Higher Secondary School, Mandaveli on Sept.5.
It provided them a platform to discuss their ideas and manage the day’s show.
The day commenced in the campus hall with Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Anbarasu. The community prayed for the well-being of the school’s teachers.
At the campus event, the organisers highlighted the recognition of the school’s teachers by various bodies. The Headmistress Sr. Margaret Daisy and Jeyakodi, PET, had received the awards from a Lions Club.( seen in the photo). Judy Victoria, physics teacher and Fatima, commerce teacher were honoured with awards by Vels University.
Teachers of the school who handle Classes X and XII were felicitated – for both batches of students did well in the recent public exams.
Games were conducted for the teachers. Teacher Helen was crowned as ‘St. Antony’s Queen’.
