Children make eco-images of Vinayaka, with seeds in it. Workshop in R. A. Puram

RAPRA Kids Club (RKC) based in R A Puram held a ‘Make Your own Eco-friendly seed Ganesha’ workshop for children on Saturday at the GCC park on 7th Main Road.

The session was led by sustainable art & design specialist  Vidya Madhivannan.

20 enthusiastic children participated.

All the materials needed for the workshop were provided by the Club. Its mentors – Bhuvana, Deepa, Lalitha Iyer, Lalitha, Shobhana and Ganga were also at hand to guide the children.

Each child embedded a seed of his/her choice inside their handcrafted idol, which can later be planted after the festival.

The kids also learnt a Ganesha-themed song as the workshop progressed.

The Club is promoted by RAPRA, a residents’ of R A Puram body and is open to all children. It hosts activities and workshops for children.
