The Chitirakulam Vinayagar Chaturthi Festival will start on Sept.14 and go on till Sept.20.
Ganapathi homam, Vedic chanting, laksharchana, special pujas, aaradhana, and annadhanam (free food distribution) will be held in the mornings, followed by cultural events in the evenings.
On Sept. 14, Vinayagar laksharchanai will be performed 7 a.m. onwards.
On Sept. 20, Sunday, at about 1 p.m., the procession of Sri Vinyaka will start from Mylapore to head to the seaside in Pattinapakkam for immersion.
