The congregation at CSI St Luke’s Church IN Mandaveli celebrated the anniversary of their church on October 10 and the feast of their patron saint, saint Luke on October 18.
D. Moses Raja Cecil, secretary of the pastorate committee said that the present church was opened on October 10, 1970 ( the older church was located near Mandaveli market and was opened in 1911).
Competitions like group singing, skits and cookery and some community-driven games were held for the young to mark the events. A medical camp was also held.
The events were organised by the pastor Rev. Samuel Rajkumar, secretary D. Moses Raja Cecil and treasurer Joseph Jebasingh. A new pastorate committee has taken charge here from September 2026.
