A few resolutions were formally recorded at the area sabha meet hosted for Ward 126 residents on Saturday, Oct.17 in Mandavelioakkam. Councillor Amirda Varshini and officials of state agencies of the area took part.
Among the key ones were the following –
Condemnation of Irresponsible road-cutting works during the monsoon by BRR Dept of GCC: The failure to properly restore the roads after the completion of the work poses a serious threat to public safety, and a major accident has already occurred, the resolution stated.
Distribution of new contact numbers of TANGEDCO’s local unit: The department is requested to provide updated contact numbers of the local units to all residents in their respective areas, enabling the public to report electricity-related complaints, power failures.
Safety measures for coastal residents: The civic authorities are requested to implement immediate safety and precautionary measures for residents living in coastal areas during the monsoon season.
