Ashvita’s presents Modern: A Way of Looking, an exhibition exploring Indian Modern art, at its flagship space in Mylapore.
The exhibition features works by celebrated artists M. F. Husain, F. N. Souza, Nilima Sheikh, Jyoti Bhatt, Thota Vaikuntam and Krishen Khanna, alongside Chennai-based artists P. Perumal and A.P. Santhanaraj.
It is on from October 30 to December 19.
Artworks are presented alongside art books, monographs, catalogues and archival material, inviting visitors to discover the stories and ideas behind Indian Modernism.
An accompanying library encourages visitors to browse, read and engage with the artworks at their own pace. Centred on the idea of “See. Read. Understand. Collect.”, the exhibition offers the public an opportunity to explore Indian Modern art more closely.
