CSI St Luke’s Church in Mandaveli held its anniversary celebration on October 10 and the feast of their patron saint on October 18.
Many competitions were held for the parishioners. Monica and her team of Deepa and Jeby won the first prize in rangoli. Said Monica, “We did a rangoli based on the logo of our Church.”
The winner of the cookery competition was the team of Stella Mary, Jebarani and Mariya. Stella Mary said, “We were asked to bring all the ingredients and a gas stove.”
The team cooked chicken biryani, raita, chicken lollipop, brinjal gravy and fruit salad and this impressed the judges. Stella Mary is a teacher in Chennai Middle School, Royapettah.
All the competitions were held in the church campus.
