Water stagnation in many areas of Mylapore was minimal though there was continuous, light-to-medium rainfall throughout last night ( Oct 20 – 21).
A drive down P S Sivaswami Salai where residents have suffered for years due to flooding is now water stagnation-free due to the extensive drains network that was built. However, water was seen stagnating
alongside the wall of Vivekananda College.
This morning, GCC officials had arranged machinery that was seen sucking out the water to make the road free for pedestrians and motorists
