A Navaratri festival was hosted by Mayilai Poompaavai Sabha Trust in association with Thamizhnadu Brahmin Association [Regd] at two venues – Kamala Thothathri Hall Chitrakulam South Street and at Sri Adikesava Perumal Temple.
The concerts featured Bharathanatyam , bhajans, Carnatic music and Harikatha. About 200 artistes participated and all were honoured.
State minister for food and civil supplies and Mylapore MLA, P. Venkataraman was a guest one evening at the temple event.
The programmes were managed by the trustees Ramanakumar, B. G. Rajesh Narayan and P V S Athreyan in consultation with V R G Raji.
