P. S. Venkatraman aged 106 years, a resident of Mylapore for over 70 years passed away after a very brief illness on March 23. Till the age of 80 he used to drive his car.
He was manager Gordon Woodroffe & Co and retired as adviser of Modi & Modi.
From his very early age he was disciplined in his food habits and daily walks. His recollection of people and places was remarkable, his family said. Even a week before his demise he was able to sign cheques and money orders receipt.
His wife passed away in December last year. She was 96. He is survived by 3 daughters and a son, many grand children and great grandchildren.
