A women day celebration was held at Srinivasa Gandhi Nilayam.
Ambika Kameswar (of RASA) was the guest of honour. Sweets were distributed to all present.
Susheela Padmanabhan, Lalitha Ramaniyam, secretary, Mano Bhakthavatsalam and Padma Venkatraman were also present on the occasion.
A special women’s day celebration was held at the IDBI Bank, C. P. Ramaswamy Road branch on March 8.
Vimala Ramasamy, a former employee and wife of Chief General Manager of IDBI Bank presided over the function.
Nandini Ramani, eminent dancer, critic and former secretary of Music Academy was the chief guest.
Radha Sridhar, Regional head of Chennai, IDBI Bank, was also present.

M. T. S. Academy, Mylapore had organised a special celebration to commemorate the 100th international women’s day on March 8.
The 2nd Arivukkalanjiyam competition for women was held on the occasion. The event was held at Bharathi Women’s College.
This was jointly organised by MTS Academy – Rainbow HRD NGO, Nehru Yuva Kendra Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Bank of Baroda.
