More facilities are being put in place for the kumbhabishekam of Sri Kapali Temple in Mylapore. Civic activist C. Baskar reports that all the hawkers on Ponnambala Vadyar Street, the one which leads to the east gopuram of the temple have been removed.
Shops have also been asked to remove their extension boards and displays on this road which will be a busy one next week.
Ambulance units will also be on hand to address emergencies.
