Jayalalithaa offers solatiums to Nandini, man who died in a crime-accident in Foreshore Estate

Chief minister J. Jayalalithaa has announced a solatium of Rs. 3 lakh to the family of Nandini, who died in an accident while she was trying to pursue a rogue who had robbed her of her cash in Foreshore Estate last fortnight.

The CM has also announced a similar solatium to a senior citizen, also of this area who was knocked down and died when the rogue, who was trying to flee after the robbery, knocked the man down.

A solatium of Rs.1 lakh has been granted to Najju, Nandini’s cousin who had accompanied Nandini on the bike, was injured in the accident and is being treated at a state-run hospital in the city.

On Friday, two state ministers visited Najju at the Govt. General Hospital where Nanjju is begin treated now and spoke to her and shared the news of the CM’s grant.

Nandini was a teacher in a school on the ECR and the sole bread-winner of her family.
