DCP wants volunteers on weekends to help regulate traffic on Marina’s service road

Would you like to volunteer on the Marina every weekend to help regulate vehicles on the service road?

Then get in touch with Deputy Police Commissioner of Mylapore, V. Balakrishnan.

The DCP is attempting to regulate traffic on the service road on Saturday and Sunday to make life easy for walkers.

The volunteers need to be at the spot from 5 am to 9 am.

The police have found that cars and bikes mass up on this road, behind the statues of Gandhi and Kamaraj, obstructing those who want to exercise, jog or run here.

Vehicles will now be regulated.

While a good number of people walk or job on the pavement, many others use the Marina service road.
