AIADMK political drama continues; one faction wants to shunt out T. T. V. Dhinakaran and family

The drama in the two factions of the AIADMK continues on Greenways Road.

Tonight, there was a new twist and it had to do with only one faction – the faction which has Edappadi Palaniswami as chief minister claims now that a majority of its MLAs, MPs and leaders have decided that the party must distance itself from current deputy general secretary, T T V Dhinakaran.

This view has been expressed by minister D Jayakumar and a few ministers. ” We have to regain the two leaves symbol and protect the party at all costs,” he told the media after meeting the chief minister’s residence on Greenways Road in R A Puram.

However, a few MLAs claim that the Jayakumar group is taking decisions closely and it does not reflect the thoughts of the party.

The drama is also has its sideshow in Delhi where a man accused to attempt bribe Election Commission on behalf of T T V Dhinakaran to get the two leaves symbol ‘de-frozen’. Dhinakaran says he does not known the man who has been arrested. Police have charged Dhinakaran in this ‘bribery case.
