The season of Ramadhan ( Ramzan) began today for the Muslim community. A time for prayer, reflection, fasting and charity.
The Jumma Masjid on Kutchery Road in Mylapore draws a big crowd at this season. It did this Sunday,a holiday. Even as the community met for prayer this morning, the assigned cooks were busy in the campus cooking up the gruel that is distributed to the faithful after the evening prayers, to break the fast.
