Giri Fine Arts, a unit of Lakshmi Giri Charitable Trust have designed and launched their own Lakshmi Giri Convention Hall on North Mada Street, Mylapore. Now, Giri is encouraging young and aspiring music artistes around the world to perform at this space, near the Ambika Appalam store ( east of it).
“We used to get slots inside temples and auditoriums before. But then getting a slot in the temple became difficult. Hence we came up with our own space,” says T. S. Srinivasan, one of the promoters and director of Giri.
A 90-seater auditorium with all the necessary facilities is in the basement of the Giri Complex.
The Bharat Cultural Festival started on Dec 16 and will be on till Jan 6, 2019. The concerts are open to all.
