Stray dog bite case in Luz Church Rd. Why doesnt GCC act swiftly, asks person whose daughter was bitten

A teen girl of Luz Church Road was bitten by a street dog earlier this week. Her family says that despite calling up the GCC’s call number, the response was very delayed.
Thankfully, the civic boidy’s dog catching unit responded later and rounded up a few dogs on this street this on April 25 morning.
Bhanumathy Prasad said that her family had visited a temple in Bheemanma 2nd Street  and was walking back to their residence when they spotted two street dogs.  One of them bit her daughter on her left foot.
“We panicked and rushed to BSS Hospital and the girl took a TT  and a vaccine. When we came back looking for the dog it was missing. Apparently it had bitten another boy on the same evening,” Bhanumathy said in an e-mail.
She added that she registered a complaint in 1913. “When we called on the subsequent days the complaint was not attended to,” she adds. ” They asked us to contact the zonal office and later suggested we use services of a dog catcher. This was not right.”
Why are people asked to keep calling differet departments in such an emergency, is Bhanumathy’s question.
