About a year ago, the area director of Toastmaster International, Jayanthi Sundar, started the Alwarpet Toastmasters Club to promote public speaking and leadership skills. The club is run by a seven member executive team headed by Alwarpet resident Prema Krishnan. They meet once a week, the club also conducts speaking contests every six months.
The club will be celebrating its 50th meet on Feb. 16 by organising education sessions and other fun activities. Anyone above the age of 18 can join this club. Reach out to Prabhakaran, VP (Membership) at 9566993796 for details.
