Mylapore Post office to be modernised

The Mylapore Post Office is getting a makeover. It is covered under Phase III of ‘Project Arrow’.

‘Project Arrow’ has been undertaken by the India Postal Service to modernise and upgrade the facilities at the post offices all over India.

As part of this project this post offices will be computerised, core banking and net banking facilities will be launched and credit and cash facilities will be integrated.

he Mylapore Post Office is also being renovated.

“We are changing the look and feel of the post office by changing and painting and changing the interiors, says R. Bhanumathi, Post Master.

“There will be complete surveillance of the staff’s performance. We are also aiming towards 100% delivery of the post,” she says.

The Mylapore post office has a counter open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
