The inaugural of the Sports Project Initiatives of the Mylapore Sports Trust was held on Dec.16 at the Mylapore Club premises.
Dr.M.A.M.Ramaswamy, President of the Mylapore Club and Founder Trustee, Mylapore Sports Trust, Ram Santhanam, Founder Trustee, Mylapore Sports Trust inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp and unveiling of the Sports Projects Initiatives.
Books on Table Tennis and Chess were presented to children who excellent in each discipline. Six children who excelled in Table Tennis were awarded a complete set of sporting accessories. Table Tennis tables were donated to Vidya Mandir School (donated by Swathy Builders) and Sir Sivaswamy Kalalaya School (donated by Venkatakrishnan).
A Silver Rolling Trophy instituted by Swathy Builders was awarded to the winner of the Chess Problem Solving Championship. Cash prizes and Cups were also given to the winner and runner up of the Problem Solving Championship.
C.G.S.Narayanan, International Problemist and the Problem Solving Coach gifted books to the young problem solving enthusiasts who are training at the Mylapore Club.
