Women’s Day: sales, talks, campaigns

Mahila Bazaar, an exhibition cum sale of handicrafts, utility articles, jewellery, readymade garments, sarees by women entrepreneurs will be held from March 9 to 11 at Andhra Mahila Sabha, P.Obul Reddy Vocational Training Institute, 109, Luz Church Road, Mylapore. Ph: 4216 8979, 2499 4761.

Care India is organising a celebration on March 8 at Marina Beach at 5 p.m. A public gathering will be organised here to take a pledge to address the myths and barriers to women’s empowerment. This is open to NGOs, students and  citizens.

Women’s Craft Bazaar is on at C. P. Art Centre, Eldams Road till March 8, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The display will be held in all 3 galleries here. On display will be a range of textiles and jewellery.

A sale of glass, semi precious stones and silver jewellery is on at Victoria Hall, 37, TTK Road, Opp. Music Academy entrance. The sale is on March 9 and 10 from 10.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. For details call 99404 69000.
