The Abhiramapuram Police has arrested two men for a series of chain snatching in Mylapore, Abhiramapuram and Foreshore Estate.
Vinod Kumar alias Vinod and Ajayan alias Chotta were arrested here on Sunday.
Police sources says that they were experts in breaking open locks and have jointly committed several crimes including an attempt to murder in Mylapore.
The police is to recover 30 sovereigns of gold jewelley valued at Rs.6 lakhs.
Assistant Commisioner Sivasankaran, Abhirampuram inspector crime K. Muniyandi and L&O inspector Srinivasan were the special team involved in catching the suspects.
