December Season; well and truly in

The December season of music and dance is well and truly set in Mylapore now. Concerts are being held through the day at many venues across the neighborhood. And more such events will follow in the days to come.

The formal, colorful launches at sabhas have taken place. On Saturday, Sri Parthasarathi Swami Sabha had its launch at the Vidya Mahal on Bheemana Gardens St, near Jammi Buildings in Mylapore. Vocalist P Unnikrishnan was honoured with an award.

Earlier, Mylapore Fine Arts Club (MFAC) and Narada Gana Sabha ( NGS) had launched their festivals.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan wound up its music fest and is staging its dance fest at a Kilpuak venue, a  new this year.

Concerts by arts bodies like SAFE, Madhuradhawani, Chennai Fine Arts and Charsur are being held in smaller venues like Sastri Hall, Arkay Centre and mini hall of NGS.
