Actor Kushboo’s residence in San Thome was stoned last evening by members of a unit of the DMK party who were angry with alleged remarks made by her on the issue of the future leadership of the DMK party, of which she is also a member.
Her residence is on Leith Castle Street and the damage was small though. Kushboo was in Tiruchi at that time, attending a wedding of the kin of a senior DMK member – she was also challenged here by the cadre for making the remark.
There, she said her comment had been misunderstood. She rushed back to the city on hearing the news of the attack on her San Thome residence.
On Friday, a small group of policemen were seen on patrol on this quiet road.
