Desi Greens on R. K. Mutt Road has expanded to include a grocery / quick eats shop on the first floor. The shop is decorated in a pleasing ‘ green’ theme and stocks organic grocery items like rice, pulses and others. Varioust types of honey, pickles and juices like triphala are a good buy.
While picking up grocery items, you can also eat or take out some healthy cooked food. The menu is extensive and offers traditional foods with a twist. You can try oats or ragi idly with brown rice kanji or thengaipaal kaji. If you are in the mood for something warm and soothing, pick sukku kaapi or tulasi tea. There are also some dosa variants that are interesting – vellarikkai dosai and broccolli uthappam to name a couple.
