The councillor of ward 121 ( north east Mylapore neighbourhood areas), Noor Jehan of the AIADMK party has been chosen by party leader J Jayalalithaa to be the party candidate in the Chepauk Assembly constituency for the elections due on May 16.
She is a resident of Triplicane and was elected as councillor of Chennai Corporation for this Mylapore area. She is said to be a dedicated party cadre and a strong public speaker.
