ENGLISH PLAYS BY STUDENTS – As a part of their Campus Theatre Initiative Crea-Shakthi, in association with college students, will present two plays this weekend.
‘Silence – The Court is in Session’ is a play by Marati playwright Vijay Tendulkar. Adapted and presented by students of IIT, Madras. On Oct 2, 3 p.m. ‘The Mirror’s Mind’ will be presented by students of Sastra University.Written and directed by Aneesh Krishnan. On Oct 1, 7 p.m. At Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam.
TAMIL COMEDY – Chennai Drama House brings ‘Kalyana Velayil Karadi’, an award-winning full-length Tamil comedy play by Vivek Rajagopal. Two friends arrange the marriage of their children and just as the young couple fumble their way towards the arranged marriage, an incident occurs that threatens to throw a spanner in the works.
