Would you like to lend a hand at re-greening Nageswara Rao Park, Luz? Then head to the park this Saturday, January 7 evening to join volunteers from the NGO called NIzhal.
The NGO plans to motivate residents of park zones to help better the parks which have been battered by the December cyclone.
The effort of Nizhal is to show people hope they can improve the root systems of trees, trim trees and plants, make right choice for planting and maintain trees.
Nizhal’s Shoba Menon says if a group can be motivated now, that group can attract more residents who can make the local park a greener place.
If you plan to be at the Saturday meet, do bring any gardening implement – this will be used to get into some action in the park. Open to all.
