Actor-politcian S V Shekher has filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking anticipatory bail. This comes in the wake of a case being filed against him in Karur for sharing a Facebook post which said derogatory things about women journalists.
Shekher says in his petition that he inadvertently shared a post sent to his account and after realising the mistake, apologised online and through a letter.
Meanwhile, the state unit of the BJP, a party in which Shekher is the propaganda secretary has formed a committee to investigate Shekher’s actions.
