QUEER LIT FEST: July 7, 10.30 am onwards features writers and poets from the LGBT and Queer community, from this city and outside and goes beyond the written word – spoken, digital and visual. There will be round-table discussions, talks and presentations. Voices from the Thamizh and other languages will be heard.  Also debates on the current writing on this community. TALK; PIONEERING WOMEN OF MADRAS – The illustrated talk is by writer historian Nivedita Louis about the few trailblazing women of Madras who inspired and shaped the course of generations of women – in education, activism, the arts, politics, etc. Hosted by Tamil Heritage Trust, at Arkay Centre, Luz ( opp Viveks).
