This evening, five sort plays in Thamizh based on the short stories on five well-known writers will be staged at Narada Gana Sabha auditorium, Alwarpet, 6.45 p.m. onwards.
Presented by Komal Theatres, the plays are based on stories of Jayakanthan, Chudamani, Kalki, Puthumaipithan and S Janakiraman.
The plays are directed by four different persons.
Dharini Komal who runs Komal Theatres and is premiering the production is the daughter of well-known writer-playwright late Komal Swaminathan.
Three sabhas – Brahma Gana Sabha, Kartik Fine Arts and Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha – are hosting this event which is open to all.
