The TANGEDCO officials at Luz and Mandaveli say that no major issues have been reported by residents since Wednesday.
The Luz area engineer says, “We haven’t received reports of trees or branches falling on transformers from the residents. No major cable fault work is on either”.
The Mandaveli area engineer says, “About 15 residents in the Mandaveli area including Norton Road, Third Trust Cross Street and Fourth Trust Cross Street, have complained about small issues like short circuit, fuse and cable fire since yesterday.”
“When such problems are reported we immediately cut off the power and restore it only after the issue has been resolved.”
“For all these residents, the power was restored within a couple of hours. We haven’t received reports of trees falling on transformers either. Just before the monsoon, we ensured that branches close to the transformers were pruned off”.
Residents in the Mandaveli, Foreshore Estate and San Thome areas can call 24641134 or 9445850789 to register their complaint, he says.
