At the 44th year Art Festival to be hosted by Kartik Fine Arts in December several artistes will be given titles and awards. The title of ‘Isai Peroli’, instituted by Gomathi Visweswaran Trust will be conferred on vocalist Kunnakudi M. Balamuralikrishna and the title of Nadanamamani will be conferred on R. Sudhalakxmi.
Other awardees include Thiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam, Akhila Balasubramaniam, Nagai Narayanan (mridangam), violinists Dr. M. Lalitha and M. Nandhini, dancer Srekala Bharath, veena guru Maheswari Venkatraman and kanjira artiste Dr. Nerkunam S. Sankar.
