Traffic Police will curtail traffic on a stretch of Kamaraj Salai off the Marina from about 9 p.m. on December 31 as people head here to celebrate the new year.
The section from near the Light House to Viveknananda Illam will be closed till about 1 a.m.
Those who use cars and bikes to head to the Marina end will have to park their vehicles at designated zones.
