Alwar’s second-hand books shop needs donors to light up the place

The well-known Alwar bookshop on the pavement of Luz Church Road needs some wellwishers to support it.

Julie, Alwar’s daughter who now manages this landmark shop for second hand books says that a donation of a few LED lights will allow her to carry on business till 8 p.m.

“Since we don’t have lighting I sell books in the dark but not many people stop by,” Julie said, while on an errand after she had closed the shop for the afternoon hours.

The woman has added more textbooks since these are in demand and tried to shore up the books under the tarpaulin. She says she will need some more tarpaulins later this year when it is monsoon time.

If you wish to buy and donate LED lights / tarpaulins / old books to the Alwar shop, call Julie at 8939424410 ( 9 am to 8 pm).
