A kalyana mandapam that was recently constructed on land belonging to Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore at Greenways Road, R. A. Puram is now open for bookings.
The executive officer of the temple, D. Kaveri says, “We have been receiving bookings for weddings and other functions. The booking rates for a 24 hour period from 2 p.m. till 2 p.m. the next day is Rs. 7.50 lakhs. Along with GST the total amount will be Rs. 8.85 lakhs. It was about Rs.10 lakhs but we have reduced it now. Bookings have to be made atleast one month in advance in person at the temple office”.
The hall, was inaugurated in January of this year by the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi. K. Palaniswami.
The two storeyed hall can seat up to 1000 people and was constructed at the cost of Rs.16.75 crores.
