Soon, the children of Corporation High School at Sringeri Mutt Road, R.A.Puram will get large play area with a number of new playthings.
This has been made possible by Mylapore MLA R.Nataraj. He has spent Rs. 15 lakhs from his constituency development fund for this project.
J.Dhanammal, the Headmistress of the school says, “Mylapore MLA visited our school and took up this project after listening to our concerns.”
More than 10 playthings, including see-saw, slide, and others have been erected. And since the past few weeks, a slew of developments are taking place here.
Now, the compound wall at the backside of the school has been raised, and the school’s prayer area has got a tiled flooring.
Says Dhanammal, “We were facing a lot of problems, as miscreants were jumping into our school from the rear compound wall. They were also using our space to drink alcohol. However, after raising that wall we are no longer facing that issue.”
Says Suresh, the personal assistant of MLA, “The play area will be inaugurated by next week.”
