Chennai Corporation has started filling potholes on Mylapore’s roads.
This past week, potholes at C.P.Ramaswamy Road, Dr. Ranga Road, Musuri Subramaniam Road, R.K.Mutt Road besides other streets were filled with the wet mix.
Now, at some places, small blocks of stones are placed to dry the area.
At Abhiramapuram First Street, large portions of the road that were dug last week have also been filled. In addition, to set right the problem of flooding at this street, the civic body has planned to place a 1 ft. wide PVC pipe underground.
The Corporation’s contract workers said that this pipe would be connected to the stormwater drain network at Dr.Ranga Road.
Earlier, there was only a small pipe to drain the rainwater from this street.
