Indian Fine Arts Society’s fest to be inaugurated on Dec. 18

The 87th South Indian Music Conference and Festival organised by The Indian Fine Arts Society will be held from Dec. 18 to Jan. 4 at Ethiraja Kalyana Nilayam, Alwarpet. At the inaugural event to be held on Dec. 18, the title of ‘Sangeetha Kala Sikhamani’ will be given to Srimushnam V. Raja Rao who will also preside over the festival. The chief guest is Girish Radhakrishnan, chairman and managing director, United India Insurance Company Limited.

The ‘Natya Kalasikhamani’ title will be conferred on Prof. A. Janardhanan and the Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman award will be presented to Bengaluru Arjunkumar. Bhushany Kalyanaraman will receive the GNB award and the title of ‘Nataka Kala Sikhamani’ will be posthumously awarded to late theatre artiste Crazy Mohan. At T. T. K.
