Raja Annamalaipuram Residents’ Association (RAPRA) is to hold a motorbike rally through the streets of R A Puram ( West) on February 9 to sensitise people on keeping the roads and streets clean and to segregate their waste.
The idea is to drive down each local street, stop at vantage street corners and raise slogans, play theme songs and educate people on how to separate their waste to better waste segregation and disposal.
Mylapore MLA, Dr. R. Nataraj and T. Iniyan, AEE of Zone 9, Corporation of Chennai will flag off the rally.
RAPRA says its volunteers would also make door to door visits to spread the message.
