The 72nd birth anniversary of J. Jayalalithaa, late AIADMK leader and state chief minister was observed by the state and by AIADMK partymen and women across the state on February 24.
The state decided to observe the day as ‘ Girl Child Protection Day’ and events were held to highlight this theme for the occasion.
At Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls School in Mylapore, senior students assembled in the prayer hall on the campus and took a pledge supporting the motto of the day.
