On Feb.7 (Friday), 108 villaku pooja will take place at Sri Mundagakanni Amman temple, Mylapore. Every year, the temple organizes this event to mark the last Friday in the Tamizh month of Thai.
Women who wish to participate may pay Rs.300 and get the tickets for the pooja at the temple’s office .
The pooja will take place at 4 p.m. Says a staff at the temple, “The participants will have to bring aarti plate, pancha paatram and kai mani. All the other items will be provided from the temple.”
